The Hammock

Sitting on this hammock thinking as it sways side to side
swinging looking around searching for peace of mind
first image is a picture within a frame hanging on a wall
its da same photo that flashes before some if not all
to my right a window of sadness ...Death on a bed
to my left sorrow views of a poor sick house pet
Sitting swinging on this hammock thinking all day
pondering wondering what it would be like living here everyday
kids in the front playing,laughing , balls thrown high
as an American plane flys by in the sky
they barely look up but im sure that they used to
the sound of an engine as it lifts off is all that they're use to
Sitting Swinging Pondering as it turns into night
but over here even in the day its hard to see light
kids walk over asking for a translation of "are you okay?"
they heard it in a MJ song..i replied usted esta bien?
