"The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has issued a warrant for the arrest of Brooklyn rapper/actor Mos Def yesterday evening (November 5). Mos, born Dante Smith, was allegedly involved in an altercation with a professional photographer at the most recent MAGIC showing in August. While attending an event during the fashion trade convention, photographer Volker Corell claims the rapper assaulted him, allegedly ripping away his camera, and throwing the equipment to the ground before walking away with it. Corell, who was an official photographer for the MAGIC convention says he suffered a cut on his left hand as a result of the confrontation. Mos, who made an appearance at Vegas nightclub Prive on October 20, now faces charges of felony robbery and malicious destruction of property."
